GÉANT 2010 symposium review

Second symposium of the project further strengthens cross-activity collaboration

The symposium’s ‘One Team’ theme was very evident at the second GÉANT Symposium, held in Vienna 24th - 26th November. Over 220 participants of the GÉANT project met over the course of 3 days for a plenary as well as individual Activity and cross-Activity meetings.

This provided an excellent opportunity for those involved to review where the project is to date and to further explore the potential of cross-activity support to meet the challenges ahead.

As the noise levels during the coffee breaks and the dinners demonstrated, there was also much to be discussed outside the scheduled meetings as those new to the project were introduced and long-established relationships further cemented.

In recognition of GÉANT’s 10 year anniversary, Joint Project Manager Dai Davies took the opportunity to cut a special anniversary cake to mark the occasion.
