Roaming
The team that researches roaming focuses on developing a new architecture for eduroam® that will offer more scalability and more robust authentication. The work also focuses on assessing (new) roaming technologies and their impact on the eduroam service, as well as requirements for new features coming from the eduroam service.
Results
- The roaming development task has worked within the Internet Engineering Taskforce (IETF) to develop the Secure RADIUS standard for improving mobile authentication.
- Various software elements to support the deployment of eduroam.
- Investigation of several EAP types (findings for which are reported in the deliverable DJ3.1.2v1, Roaming Developments).
