GÉANT to host Panel Session & Distributed Workshop at TNC
21 May 2010 | Cambridge, UK

Don't miss seeing GÉANT at this year’s TNC (31 May - 3 June in Vilnius, Lithuania)!

With 14 presenters participating in the popular GÉANT Distributed Workshop, a wide range of the project’s technology and service developments will be covered: from eduGAIN and authorisation in federated systems, to “green GÉANT” and virtualisation. And from the GÉANT architecture to user stories including dancing to volcano “music” and monitoring the LHCOPN with perfSONAR.

Expected to be a conference highlight, the Panel Session "All for one, one for all" will discuss the role of NRENs in the take-up of services. With the NREN, user, international and EC perspectives, our panellists look at how NRENs jointly share responsibility for adopting the services and tools developed by the GÉANT project. What are the issues that need to be tackled, how will the GN3 services be delivered to the users and what solutions might help NRENs all work together for the project’s vision of the GÉANT Service Area? Ensuring a balance of views, expertise and perspective,  we are lucky enough to have six of the best from our community to debate these issues.  And it's not just the panellists who will be contributing but audience comments and questions are welcome. So come and take part in the discussion, on Tuesday 1 June, 16:00 - 17:30 at the ALFA room.

GÉANT will also be participating with poster presentations, technical demos and an exhibition booth where members of the project will be on hand.

We look forward to seeing you there!
